I led the development of FanDuel’s first custom typeface because I believed the brand needed a distinctive and ownable visual element. Over six months, I directed the McClure team (CD and type designer) alongside our internal team, ensuring the system could perform across every product, platform, and marketing touchpoint. The initiative created nearly $5 million in savings while giving FanDuel a flexible new brand asset built specifically for its needs.
I left the company during final testing, just two weeks before completion. Without my knowledge, the team named the typeface Gallardo to honor my leadership and contribution. It remains one of the most meaningful honors of my career and a reminder of the impact I made on both the brand and the people behind it.
